You will work on embedded hardware from concept to industrialization, contributing directly to sustainable, real-world solutions in a fast-growing, multidisciplinary team operating across multiple countries.

who you are

  • Academic Background
Final-year engineering student or on a gap year in electronics, electrical engineering, embedded systems, or an equivalent field.
  • Electronics Expertise
Experience in designing and simulating electronic circuits, both analog and digital.
  • CAD & Design Tools
Proficiency with at least one electronic CAD tool such as Altium, KiCad, Eagle, or similar.
  • Embedded Systems Knowledge
Basic skills in microcontroller programming (C, C++, or equivalent) and familiarity with embedded architectures.
  • Communication Protocols
Working knowledge of common communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, or similar.
  • Mindset
Analytical, rigorous, and curious, with a strong interest in innovation, electronic systems, and emerging technologies.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the technical team and in direct collaboration with the CTO, you will be responsible for the following tasks (non-exhaustive):

  • Electronic Design & Simulation
Design and simulate analog and digital electronic circuits based on product specifications.
  • Schematic & PCB Development
Develop electronic schematics and PCBs using CAD tools such as Altium, KiCad, Eagle, or equivalent.
  • Component Selection
Define and select electronic components adapted to system constraints, performance, and reliability requirements.
  • Testing & Validation
Conduct tests, measurements, and validations on prototypes in laboratory conditions and real-world environments.
  • Embedded Board Integration
Contribute to the development of embedded electronic boards and their integration into finished products.
  • System Architecture
Define power supply, sensor, and actuator requirements and design associated electronic systems.
  • Documentation & Reporting
Document designs, including schematics, bills of materials, and technical documentation, and present progress and results clearly in both French and English.

Join a Startup That’s Redefining Access to Water

At Kumulus Water, we’re solving a simple but urgent problem: how to bring clean drinking water where it’s needed most. Our innovative machines pull water from the air, providing a sustainable, off-grid solution—without the need for pipes or infrastructure.

From schools to hotels to businesses, our technology is already making an impact, cutting plastic waste and offering a reliable alternative in water-scarce regions. With a fast-growing team in Paris, Madrid, and Tunis, and partnerships across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, we’re scaling quickly—and we need ambitious people to help us grow.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Work with purpose
Your work directly contributes to providing clean drinking water and reducing environmental impact.
  • Technical ownership
See your designs move from prototype to deployed products.
  • Collaborative culture
Work in a hands-on, engineering-driven team with short decision loops.
  • Real-world constraints
Design electronics that must perform reliably in harsh environments, from heat to dust and humidity.
  • Fast-paced learning
Gain exposure to a wide range of technical challenges in a startup environment.
  • International impact
Help build products used across multiple countries and contexts.

Recruiting Process

  • Step 1: CV screening
  • Step 2: Technical interview with the CTO
  • Step 3: Practical technical discussion or case study
  • Step 4: Final culture-fit interview
  • Step 5: Offer
